Fence post caps are not what they used to be! If you have not taken a stroll down the post cap and finial highway you may be surprised at what you would find these days. One of the most wonderful of all the creations of late is the solar fence post caps. These caps have a solar battery that traps the sun during the day and releases it all night long! They can be used in hard to light areas, as long as they get sun, because you don’t have to lay electrical lines and have outlets etc. These caps also come in a variety of shapes and kinds and are well worth looking into.

The next ones that I highly recommend you take a look at are the steel fence post caps. These caps have a sleek contemporary look and feel to them that will really set off your fence or deck. You can get polished stainless or rough steel but either way they really look great. If you like metal but not into the steel, there is always copper, pewter or bronze. Whatever you would like I bet you can find in today’s selection of fine post caps and finials.
